’90s Minimalism, Spheres, and Openwork Gold in SOVA’s New AVENUE Collection Jewelry House SOVA presents its new AVENUE collection — inspired by the character of the big city and the woman who feels naturally at home in its rhythm. The collection draws on ’90s minimalism — its clean lines and interplay of textures and proportions. Spheres take center stage in AVENUE. They appear in different sizes and textures throughout the collection — in mirror-polished gold, with a matte finish, set with diamonds, and crafted in openwork. The varying scale of the spheres gives the pieces their rhythm, while the mix of gold textures becomes one of the collection’s defining techniques. SOVA’s jewelers also continue to explore matte gold — a distinctive, tactile finish for the metal. An openwork pattern has become another signature design element of the AVENUE collection. In some pieces, it forms spheres; in others, it takes on a shape of its own, giving rise to statement rings and earrings with intricate openwork structures. To create them, SOVA’s art team used a new 3D technology that makes it possible to craft detailed, three-dimensional gold forms while keeping the pieces lightweight. AVENUE captures the character of a metropolis: its energy, understated glamour, and constant motion. The woman at the heart of the campaign is easy to imagine in Manhattan — somewhere along Fifth Avenue — where the city seems to echo her style and the gold catches reflections of the streets.
